🚧 Sewer Rehabilitation Project Notice – June 29, 2026 🚧

Kearns Improvement District will begin an important sewer rehabilitation project on 5010 South and 5050 South starting June 29, 2026. The work will be completed using a trenchless Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) process, which creates a new pipe lining inside the existing sewer main without the need for extensive excavation.

📅 Project Schedule

  • Begins: June 29, 2026
  • Estimated Duration: Approximately 4 days (about 2 days per street)

🚗 Parking Restrictions
Residents are asked to minimize on-street parking during construction so crews can safely access sewer manholes.

🚽 Temporary Sewer Service Interruptions
As part of the rehabilitation process, some homes will experience a temporary sewer service interruption lasting a few hours while the liner is installed and service connections are restored.

📞 Advance Notification
Insituform Technologies will contact affected homeowners prior to their scheduled interruption and provide a specific timeframe for when the temporary outage is expected to occur. This notice will help residents plan accordingly and minimize inconvenience.

.

During the outage, please avoid:
• Flushing toilets
• Taking showers or baths
• Running sinks for extended periods
• Doing laundry
• Running dishwashers

Using drains during the interruption could cause wastewater to back up into your home's plumbing.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue investing in reliable infrastructure for our community.

💙 Our Promise: That our customers, our employees, and our community know we care!
